Staff was very polite and efficient. Of course, as in every vet experience, it was expensive. I would recommend the hospital to others.

I do not have enough good things to say about Avalon. I had just moved to the area with my older dog, Coco, when her health declined very quickly after we got settled into our new home. I took her to the vet after work one day hoping whatever was wrong wasn’t extremely serious, but unfortunately it was fatal. I was alone in a new city, at a vet I was unfamiliar with, having to put down my soul dog. I was devastated, but Avalon gave me everything I needed during one of the hardest moments of my life. Dr. McGowan assured me nothing was my fault — it was just terrible timing. She talked me through every step of the decision with so much compassion. They let me stay hours after closing so I could hold Coco and grieve. Before putting her down, Emily gently explained everything to me. Because I was alone, they let me FaceTime my family so they could say goodbye to Coco too. I cried in their office for hours, and they were nothing but loving, patient, and supportive through all of it. I have a younger dog that I will absolutely be bringing here for her care in the future. Thank you, Avalon, for the love and care you showed both Coco and me. My last moments with her were incredibly special because of you.

What a great place! This was a first time visit. Everyone was extremely friendly and made us feel so comfortable. Most of all they took care of our cat with such care. Highly recommend.

We took our newly adopted 6 year old Scottish terriers for their first visit. We were so pleased with the professionals working there. Dr. Seremet was so thorough and informative. She provided so much information that I must have looked overwhelmed. She said that she would send her notes to our email so we can review everything we discussed. We got home and within a half hour, we received her notes. We used to go to North Boros. When you went there it was always very busy with lots of animals waiting in the waiting area. We were the only ones in the waiting room. The cost was very reasonable. I will be taking my son's dog, Australian cattle dog, there on Tuesday.

I recently moved to Pittsburgh and took one of my cats to Avalon today. What an amazing experience. 1) The front desk helped me put both cats in the system weeks before I moved 2) The practice reached out to two different parties to obtain my cats’ vet records on my behalf with no action needed from me 3) Extremely clean and respectful space Dr. Gazda and Sam were so kind and patient with me and my older cat. They didn’t make me feel rushed, they answered my questions directly, provided detailed information for next steps, and are reaching out to me with more recommendations shortly. First-time visit in a new city, and this vet took one more stressor off my plate! Thank you all!
