Plusses: Staff are friendly and genuinely love animals. If you pay about $100 a month for their “care plan” your pet’s basic evaluations and standard vaccines + preventatives are covered and you can show up to be seen as needed. Minuses: Wait time can be long, even for just a booster shot, even when your furry friend has an appointment. PetVet365 is a chain, and like other vet practices they will try to sell you on very expensive Rx flea and tick killing medications (>$300/year that) that sadly do nothing to prevent ticks from hitching a ride on your dog to come crawl on you and the other humans in your home. (For comparison: a $60 Seresto collar repels ticks in addition to killing them and lasts at least 6 months; manufacturer says 8 months). The hawking of over-priced Rx only flea and tick meds is sort of a problem industry-wide in veterinary clinics, from what I have read vet practices make a good margin selling them so there’s an incentive / conflict of interest on their side. I’ll also note that the vet seemed to forget to check my dog’s ear at his last check up, it’s red underneath, and so unless it clears up on its own i’ll need to schedule another visit to have it seen.
