Honestly, this office is great for normal preventative care. The staff is caring and works with you. They are upfront about pricing. However, I do not recommend using this office if you use the wellness plan. Your pet is promised same-day appointments with their wellness plan. This office does not have the capacity to provide same day appointments. I wish I would’ve known that prior to signing up for the plan. I appreciate the fact that they did cancel the plan so I can sign up at a different office with capacity to help my pet. It was incredibly frustrating to go through that when your loved one is sick, and you thought you did everything you could to make sure your pet could get the care they needed when they needed it by purchasing a wellness plan.

Initially, I was drawn to their fear free approach, but this clinic is terrible and incredibly overpriced. I paid almost a hundred dollars (during an initial vet visit with a new pet) for them to swab my cat’s ears and tell me nothing was wrong. They also failed to do any actual exam or anything a real clinic would do for a new stray cat (fiv and felv tests, microchip, etc.,) and my bill still come out to almost $300. Talking to friends and they experienced the same. Staff was also cold and unfriendly. Won’t be returning.

For years my cat dealt with chronic constipation. Her vet insisted I give her miralax as a solution, rather than change her diet (she was on a urinary diet but doing well in that regard) I wound up rotating through every urinary food on the market because once I added the Miralax, she no longer trusted the food. After going to the vet 3x this spring (2x to VEG who were great - definitely recommend them for urgent care) I was at my wits end. VEG suggested an abdominal ultrasound and the vet we saw at PetVet said “there’s nothing in her chart that indicates she needs one” both the ER vet and my now new vet disagreed. I’m glad the vet at VEG got me a referral because it turns out my cat actually has IBD. We are now seeing internal medicine at Blue Pearl. PetVet was great for everyday regular checkups and the staff was very kind but if you suspect there’s a larger issue I guess it depends on what vet you have here. The one I saw here most often would not listen to me and gave me the same advice literally for years. I should have followed my gut sooner but thankfully her special needs are being addressed elsewhere now. Some of the other vets I saw here were really great. They also did a wonderful job with her dental/extraction. I am just really upset that her primary vet would not listen to me or address her digestive issues in a meaningful way. IBD can progress into GI lymphoma if not remediated and it really upsets me that she could have avoided a lot more suffering had things been addressed differently sooner. I should also mention as soon as I changed her food to a new gastro diet she has been more regular than I have seen in YEARS. The food switch has made a massive difference. As an aside I do think they should do away with all the soft surfaces at PetVet. It always looks in need of a deep clean.

We have nothing but great things to say about Dr Wilson and Dr Hutchinson and their team, who have taken care of our itchy creature Socks for more than two years. We go to PetVet as a local resource for small-medium things, as we are clients of Blue Pearl as well for giant things, and I really really really have liked their care. Dr Wilson and Dr Hutchinson have been very engaged with finding solutions for Socks that are affordable for me and reasonable for him. They are attentive, resourceful, knowledgeable, and caring. And it's really easy to follow up with them when we are in the middle of treatment. I have to say, I'm pretty hands-on with the process, so I understand other reviews based in pricing and billing. My experience is that the team has been receptive to my approach and take their time exploring options with me, and for this I am very grateful because it means I can afford to come back. I find their pricing expensive (compared to my possibilities) but their pricing is indeed average, plus they do work with other vets so that together we can find solutions for Socks that I can afford. To the team– thank you also for being so prompt with SOAP notes and for working with other vets and pharmacies. Thank you again for this week, Dr Wilson! Love from me and my itchy boy.

Ari, our greyhound, was lying down when Dr. Hutchinson walked in and knelt beside her head. She rolled over on her back and with stomach showing, stretched out her front paws over her head towards Dr. Hutchinson's hands. Twice! We have never seen her welcome anyone with such a touching hello! The rest of the consultation went equally well. She is always happy to visit PetVet365.
