Been going for years, two locations. Doc and staff are great and my dogs and cats know it as soon as we walk in the door. Update: Still great care and service here after several years of taking our dogs and cats to Dr. S' practice here.

We’ve taken our two dogs to Pittsburgh Animal Hospital for many years now, and have consistently gotten fantastic care! The facilities are clean, Dr. Shaw readily answers all of our questions, and the vet techs are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. When we had a complicated dental issue for one of our dogs, Dr. Shaw laid out multiple ways to take care of it — giving us a clear sense of the tradeoffs in terms of cost and approaches. We ended up getting the work done at the Pittsburgh Animal Hospital (the cheaper option rather than going to a dental surgeon from the outset) and over a year out, the results have been great, no recurring issues!

We went for a euthanasia and were very rudely accommodated. We went in and were very aversely met with a 60$ additional fee as a penalty for not visiting the establishment in the last year. We were not treated with respect or care, especially regarding our circumstances. When we denounced his policy, he began raising his voice at us and telling us to leave; again, during the euthanasia of our cat. This veterinarian is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
